Make a difference as a Housing Locator at the Calgary Drop-In Centre. Help vulnerable community members secure housing and access essential resources in Calgary, Alberta.
This full-time, contract position reports to the Coordinator of Housing Support. You will build relationships with landlords, maintain a housing directory, and assist clients in their transition to permanent housing. This role is crucial for supporting individuals in achieving stable living conditions while promoting independence and dignity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cultivate relationships with landlords and housing providers
• Maintain an up-to-date housing directory for clients
• Assist clients in securing and sustaining housing
• Provide clients with essential resources and referrals
• Document client interactions and housing outcomes accurately
Requirements:
• Valid class 5 Alberta driver’s license
• Compassionate attitude and relationship-building skills
• Knowledge of Calgary community resources
• Commitment to the agency’s mission and values
• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
