The Brenda Strafford Foundation seeks a dedicated Family Support Counsellor in Calgary and Okotoks. This position aims to facilitate healing and growth through individual and group counseling, case management, and comprehensive assessments to address participant needs. You will work collaboratively with clients, utilizing an intersectional approach to empower families and foster their transitions to safer lives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver therapeutic support sessions to impacted adults
• Conduct structured assessments for holistic service plans
• Facilitate dynamic group counseling programs
• Develop community support and discharge plans
• Maintain detailed participant documentation
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field
• Minimum four years in human services
• NVCI and CPR/First Aid certifications required
• Strong relationship-building abilities
• Valid driver’s license and clean record preferred
