Housing Support Advocate DI

Become a Housing Support Advocate at the Calgary Drop-In Centre. Help individuals navigate housing options and connect with resources in the heart of Calgary, Alberta.

This full-time contract role, focused on maternity leave coverage, involves working directly with clients in the Housing Supports department. As an advocate, you’ll strengthen ties with landlords, assist clients with applications, and ensure they have the support needed for sustainable living.

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster partnerships with housing providers and clients

• Maintain updated housing directories and listings

• Assist clients in securing long-term housing solutions

• Support clients with essential resources and services

• Keep detailed records of client interactions and outcomes

Requirements:

• Hold a valid class 5 Alberta driver’s license

• Proven ability to build relationships and communicate

• Knowledge of local community resources in Calgary

• Satisfactory completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check

• Commitment to the agency’s mission and values
