Position: Full-Time Social Worker Role at The Alex
Elevate community support as a Full-Time Social Worker with The Alex, focusing on mental health and addictions within Calgary. Engage actively with disenfranchised populations through outreach efforts.

In this permanent position, you will work from a harm reduction framework, directly supporting clients facing significant challenges, such as housing instability. Collaboration with a dedicated team and providing case management are key components of this role. Your experience in mental health and addiction will guide your approach to support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver outreach services for addiction and mental health

• Conduct motivational interviews and case management

• Facilitate programming aligned with client needs

• Maintain thorough documentation of client interactions

• Ensure safe operation of vehicles for community service

Requirements:

• Social Work Degree or Diploma with ACSW registration

• Two years of relevant experience required

• Strong grasp of trauma-informed care principles

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and vehicle

• Successful completion of criminal record checks
