Wilderness Addiction Support Practitioner

This role focuses on providing addiction support to young adults in an immersive wilderness environment. You will facilitate adventure therapy sessions while ensuring a safe and respectful atmosphere. Building trust and rapport with residents is crucial, as is adherence to therapeutic and safety standards. Support both residents and alumni effectively to promote lasting recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate daily adventure therapy and team-building activities
• Monitor resident safety and compliance during sessions
• Liaise with Alberta Health Services as needed
• Assist with documentation and resident care plans
• Promote alumni engagement and ongoing support
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Addiction or equivalent
• 1–3 years of relevant experience
• Familiar with experiential learning methods
• Current wilderness certifications and training
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills
