Support vulnerable youth in Calgary as a Community Outreach Worker us on prevention, education, and building safe, supportive connections.
This role involves working closely with young individuals at risk, emphasizing collaborative support and culturally informed practices. You will engage in case management, develop educational sessions, and coordinate safety plans, all while fostering community relationships to enhance well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate safety and crisis planning for youth and families
• Facilitate outreach and connect youth to community resources
• Assist in creating cultural connections with Elders
• Develop education sessions on sexual exploitation
• Maintain detailed records and reports in line with standards
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Human Services or similar
• Proven experience with high-risk youth populations
• Familiarity with relevant social service regulations
• Experience in conducting community awareness sessions
• Standard First Aid Certification required
