Position: Full-Time Overnight Addiction Support Worker
Make a difference at Alpha House as a Full-Time Overnight Addiction Support Worker. Provide vital care for individuals experiencing addiction, working night shifts to create safe, supportive environments.

This role is essential for those with a passion for helping others. As an Addiction Support Worker, you will engage with clients directly in a shelter setting, ensuring their needs are met during night shifts. The position requires skills in crisis management, empathy, and maintaining safety protocols while assisting individuals in recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete admissions and discharges with compassion

• Monitor clients’ well-being and safety

• Provide one-on-one support to those needing extra assistance

• Conduct building rounds and assist clients in need

• Handle crisis situations calmly and effectively

Requirements:

• Minimum two-year relevant program or in-progress

• Experience with vulnerable populations

• Strong crisis management and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Valid Vulnerable Sector Search and relevant training
