Position: Support Worker at The Salvation Army
Become an integral Outreach Support Worker with The Salvation Army, dedicated to assisting individuals experiencing homelessness. Engage directly, provide crisis support, and connect clients with essential resources to foster lasting change.

This full-time, temporary position offers the chance to make a real difference by developing trusting relationships through outreach visits and crisis intervention. As part of our community-oriented team, you will work across various settings, including urban areas and encampments. Your efforts will support client goal discovery and advocate for their needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop relationships through frequent outreach visits

• Provide emergency interventions and conflict resolution

• Research community resources for client advocacy

• Support program setup, teardown, and evaluation

• Document outreach interactions for reporting

Requirements:

• High school diploma; college diploma in social services is an asset

• Minimum two years related experience

• Skilled in mental health first aid and trauma-informed care

• Valid driver’s license with clean abstract

• Police information check and first aid certification
