Software Engineering Manager

Yeti Software is a growing SaaS company serving B2B customers with a mission‑critical platform. We are a lean, product‑driven team that values pragmatism, ownership, and shipping real value. As we enter our next phase of growth, we’re looking for a senior technical leader to strengthen our engineering foundation, modernise our stack, and help us thoughtfully integrate AI into our product.

We are seeking an Engineering Manager who combines deep hands‑on technical expertise with strong communication and leadership skills. This role is ideal for a senior engineer who still enjoys being close to the code, but is ready to own architecture, technical direction, and engineering execution across the company.

You will lead a small but capable engineering team, partner closely with the founders and product leadership, and play a key role in scaling our platform and engineering practices.

• Technical Leadership & Architecture
  • Own and evolve the overall engineering architecture across our stack (AWS, Laravel, Angular/Ionic).
  • Lead modernisation initiatives, including performance, scalability, security, and maintainability improvements.
  • Make pragmatic build‑vs‑buy decisions and guide long‑term technical direction.
  • Identify and ope rationalise AI opportunities within the platform (e.g., automation, insights, workflow optimisation).
  • Evaluate and integrate AI services and models in a secure, scalable, and cost‑effective way.
  • Help translate AI capabilities into real customer value—not experimentation for its own sake.
  • Lead, mentor, and support a small globally distributed engineering team (developers, QA, contractors).
  • Establish clear engineering standards, code quality practices, and delivery discipline.
  • Improve development workflows, CI/CD, testing, and release processes.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Product, Customer Success, and Leadership to align engineering execution with business priorities.
  • Translate product requirements into clear technical plans and timelines.
  • Communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including senior or lead roles.
• Strong, hands‑on experience with:
  • AWS (infrastructure, scalability, security best practices)
  • Angular and/or Ionic for front‑end and mobile‑friendly applications
  • Proven experience modernising or refactoring production SaaS systems.
• Excellent written and spoken English—clear communication is essential.
• Experience working in small, fast‑moving SaaS teams or startups.

• Prior experience as a Head of Engineering, Engineering Manager, or Technical Lead in a SaaS company.
• Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into production products.
• Familiarity with data pipelines, analytics, or AI‑driven automation.
• Comfort balancing short‑term delivery with long‑term technical health.
