Senior Full Stack Web Developer
Job Description
We are hiring a Web Developer to own technical delivery and standards for our marketing web platform, with Contentstack serving as the primary pillar of our new architecture. This critical role is responsible for maintaining our diverse platform (including Hub Spot, Word Press, Craft CMS, and others) while contributing to the ongoing transition to a modern Next.js headless architecture built exclusively around Contentstack.
The position focuses on the complex integration of Contentstack with enterprise tooling and middleware to ensure a seamless, high‑performance ecosystem.
- Champion the adoption and safe use of AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., code completion, code review agents) to enhance team productivity and code quality.
- Maintain, debug, and develop across our diverse CMS ecosystem (Hub Spot, Word Press, Craft CMS, etc.) while building new features on the Next.js/Contentstack architecture.
- Apply knowledge of LLMs and automation principles to develop internal tooling or custom scripts that accelerate web development workflows and increase team velocity.
- Develop modular UI components and structured content models within headless CMS to support flexible, drag‑and‑drop web page development.
- Ensure all templates and components meet standards for responsiveness, accessibility, performance, and cross‑browser compatibility.
- Work with marketing, design, SEO, and stakeholders to scope technical requirements and deliver site changes aligned with business goals.
- Implement, test, and validate analytics, pixels, tags, forms, and event tracking across platforms.
- Manage development and production environments, backups, and deployment workflows; document site architecture, dependencies, and technical operating procedures.
- Own the delivery path (DNS, CDN, WAF, Origin) and manage integrations with martech like Hub Spot via REST/GraphQL APIs.
- Set patterns for code structure, testing, and CI/CD while championing best practices and predictable delivery.
- 5+ years building and maintaining marketing websites/landing pages in a professional environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred.
- Strong front‑end fundamentals: HTML5, CSS3/Sass, JavaScript, and React (hooks, component design, state management).
- Next.js experience:
App Router or Pages Router, SSG/SSR/ISR, API routes, and performance optimization. - Mandatory Contentstack experience: expert‑level proficiency in content modeling, Management and Delivery APIs, Live Preview configuration, and optimizing the editor experience.
- Essential experience performing direct integrations between Contentstack and enterprise systems, including Okta for SSO, C360/Mulesoft for user permissioning and data, RWS for automated translation workflows, and Coveo for enterprise search.
- Working knowledge of hosting, DNS, SSL, CDNs, and caching; comfortable with staging‑to‑production workflows and Git.
- Solid grasp of technical SEO (sitemaps, robots.txt, metadata, schema) and Core Web Vitals.
- Accessibility mindset and QA discipline across devices and browsers; clear communication and prioritization.
- Practical experience utilizing LLM‑assisted development tools (e.g., code completion, code review agents) to enhance development workflows and ensure safe and effective use.
- Nice to have: deeper Contentstack experience—custom apps, extensions, or advanced content modeling; experience with complex multi‑site, multi‑brand, and multi‑language website portfolios; familiarity with design systems/component libraries and Figma workflows; CI/CD for modern hosting (Vercel, Netlify, AWS, etc.) and headless CMS deployment workflows.
Target Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $101,000 CAD
