SAP ABAP​/BOPF​/CDS Developer

Our client is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP / BOPF / CDS Developer to support a major SAP initiative in Calgary. This role requires a strong technical consultant with deep expertise in SAP ECC development, SAP HANA data modeling, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance SAP solutions using ABAP, BOPF, CDS Views, and SAP HANA Views.
• Develop and maintain custom programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and conversions within SAP ECC.
• Build optimized CDS Views and HANA Views to support analytics, reporting, and high-performance applications.
• Develop APIs, OData services, and integrations with SAP and non-SAP applications.
• Optimize SQL performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, documentation, and production support.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong expertise in ABAP Objects, BOPF, CDS Views, and SAP HANA Views.
• Proven experience working with SAP ECC, including custom development and enhancements.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, performance tuning, debugging, and SAP Data Dictionary.
• Experience developing OData services, RFCs, BAPIs, IDocs, and Web Services.
• Familiarity with SAP transport management and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
