Position: Senior Front-End Developer to design, develop, and enhance enterprise web experiences while elevating front-end
Our client is seeking a Senior Front-End Developer to design, develop, and enhance enterprise web experiences while elevating front-end development practices through technical leadership and mentorship.
6-month contract
Based in Calgary, 3 days in office
Must-Have:
7+ years of professional front-end development experience.Expert-level proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+).5+ years of experience building responsive, scalable, and accessible web applications
.Strong understanding and implementation of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards
.Demonstrated experience identifying front-end performance bottlenecks and implementing performance optimization solutions.Experience building and integrating digital design systems
, ideally using Lit
, Type Script , and Chromatic/Storybook
.Experience mentoring developers and sharing technical knowledge across a collaborative team.Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.Nice-to-Have:
Experience with Drupal 10+ themes and module templates.Experience working in large enterprise digital environments.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern front-end development tools.Experience implementing automated front-end testing and quality assurance practices.Previous experience in a technical lead or senior mentoring capacity.Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and enhance modern, responsive web applications and digital experiences.Lead front-end architecture and provide technical guidance to the development team.Mentor and support team members by sharing knowledge, best practices, and emerging technologies.Build and integrate scalable design systems that promote consistency and reusability across applications.Optimize website performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements to improve load times and user experience.Ensure all front-end solutions meetWCAG 2.2 accessibility standards.Collaborate with UX/UI designers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital solutions.Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
