Intermediate Network Automation Developer support the development of enterprise-scale automation platforms across both IT and OT environments.

Our large Oil & Gas industry client is seeking an
Intermediate Network Automation Developer support the development of enterprise-scale automation platforms used to manage the lifecycle of network infrastructure across both IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments.This role combines Python, Type Script/React, AWS, network automation, and AI-assisted development to automate network lifecycle processes, improve operational efficiency, and deliver scalable, reliable solutions.

Duration: 1-year initial contract with a possibility of extension

Working Model:
Hybrid onsite (3 days in-office/ 2 days remote)

Position Overview:

This role will focus on building tools that support firmware upgrades, configuration management, and operational workflows for technologies such as Cisco routers and switches, Versa SD-WAN appliances, and cellular modem platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced Network Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and leverage AI-assisted development practices to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that improve reliability, security, and operational efficiency.

Must-Haves:

• 5+ years' of professional
  software development
  experience with recent AI-assisted development/ forward code deployment experience
• Experience using AI-assisted development for
  automation tools, APIs, backend services, and/or workflow-based applications
• Strong experience with
  Type Script,
  React or another modern UI framework
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices
• Experience with Cloud Formation or other Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) platforms

Nice-to-Haves:

• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, or networking platforms
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies, particularly Versa
• Experience automating network firmware upgrades, configuration management, or device lifecycle management
• Experience with network automation/orchestration frameworks
• Experience working in Operational Technology (OT), industrial, energy, or other regulated environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain network automation solutions
• Automate network firmware upgrades, configuration, validation, and lifecycle workflows
• Build APIs, user-facing tools, and backend services
• Integrate automation with monitoring, inventory, ITSM, and network platforms
• Leverage AI-assisted development to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, and solution design
• Collaborate with Network SMEs to translate operational processes into scalable automation
• Implement logging, auditing, error handling, testing, and rollback capabilities
• Participate in application architecture, database design, code reviews, and technical solution design
• Troubleshoot complex software and integration issues
• Contribute to reusable automation frameworks and development standards
