The Stats and Analytics team at Stack Adapt solves complex distributed system challenges, focusing on scalability, performance, reliability, and data consistency. We leverage a modern tech stack that includes Golang for high-performance services, TiDB for scalable SQL databases, Redshift and Snowflake for data warehousing, Kafka for real-time streaming, Elasticsearch for analytics, and HDFS for distributed storage. The Stats & Analytics team is structured into three sub teams:
Data Ingestion, Data Platform and Data Delivery.

Stack Adapt is a Remote First company, we are open to candidates located anywhere in Canada for this position.

• Building highly scalable, distributed real-time micro-services primarily written in Go
• Working with large data sets and various databases including Aerospike, Elasticsearch, Redis, ScyllaDB, Redshift, TiDB, MariaDB
• Working with data lakehouse technologies like Apache Iceberg, Apache Trino, and real-time analytics technologies like Star Rocks and Clickhouse
• Build software that utilize messaging queues such as Kafka, SQS, and Kinesis
• Write performance efficient and memory optimized code

• 2+ years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer.
• Very strong problem solving skills in data structures, algorithms, and optimization
• Experience working with relational databases and/or key-value stores
• Experience building scalable micro-services and distributed systems

The compensation range listed for this role reflects the expected base salary for candidates located in the posting country based on a global rate. It is informed by market data and the approved budget for this position. Stack Adapt maintains different compensation ranges for roles across other countries and regions, and final offers will be aligned to the candidate’s current location.

This range represents base salary only. Depending on the role, candidates may also be eligible for additional compensation such as annual bonuses, commissions, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits package.

• The final compensation offer will be determined by a variety of factors, which may include, but are not limited to: the candidate's specific experience, technical skills, knowledge, abilities, and relevant education, licensure, and certifications.

Base Salary Band

$140,000 - $192,500 CAD
