Managers in Transportation NOC -Demand
Location: Banff
Job Description
- Activities directly involved in maneuvering, routing, and tracking transport vehicles, aircraft, or railroad cars.
- Plan, organize and manage subordinates to ensure work is completed and meets company standards.
- Conduct investigations to verify and resolve customer or shipper complaints.
- Collaborate with staff to develop and implement procedures related to transportation as well as company revenue and customer service goals.
- Organize periodic repair and maintenance of means of transport.
- Complying with transportation-related policies, as well as safety rules, union contracts, and government regulations.
- Promoting safe work activities by conducting safety audits, and attending company safety meetings.
- Making sure vehicles are properly maintained
- Inspecting vehicles
- Arranging repairs and routine maintenance
- Ensuring that all drivers and operators have the correct, up to date qualifications
- Proven work experience as a transportation manager, shipping director or similar roles
- Solid knowledge of supply chain management
- Experience in order picking and tracking
- Familiarity familiar with logistics software, such as Freight view and 3PLink
- Excellent organizational skills
- Employee training and supervision skills
- Problem solving ability
- High school diploma
Terms of Employment:
- Full time
- Permanent
- 40 hours per week
- Day, Evening, Shift, Overtime, Morning
Salary: $38.46 - $55.90 per hour
