Rail Flaw Detection CDL Driver

Join Sperry Rail Service as a CDI Driver and contribute to critical rail safety operations. This field-based role requires mobility across Canada, operating inspection vehicles for extended periods often lasting 3-4 months.

In this position, you'll engage in rail inspections, data collection, and maintenance of specialized vehicles. Your ability to communicate effectively and perform thorough inspections ensures adherence to safety regulations while working in various weather conditions. Ideal candidates will have a strong mechanical aptitude and be ready for extensive travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive specialized rail inspection vehicles safely

• Execute pre-trip and post-trip inspections consistently

• Maintain detailed logs for DOT compliance

• Assist in data collection and rail inspections

• Manage vehicle cleanliness and basic maintenance tasks

Requirements:

• Valid CDL Class 5 with air brake endorsement

• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred

• Proficient in safety protocol communication

• Capable of extensive travel without limitations

• Physically fit to fulfill role demands
