Pool Pilot at STARS Aviation

Become a STARS Pool Pilot at one of our six bases. This role requires flexibility in scheduling and may involve short-notice travel to serve as Pilot in Command or Second in Command.

As a Pool Pilot, you will operate STARS aircraft while maintaining excellent flight safety. You should be available for the AH145 training starting August 1, 2026. This position demands a minimum of 1000 helicopter flight hours and readiness for day and night shifts, supporting our mission of 24/7 patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely pilot STARS aircraft throughout operational bases

• Maintain current aviation certifications and medical standards

• Stay proficient with regulations and training standards

• Adapt to flexible scheduling with potential travel

• Support critical patient care missions as needed

Requirements:

• Valid Commercial Rotary Wing Licence

• Current aircraft captain or eligible for captain upgrade

• Minimum 1000 hours helicopter experience

• Group 4 Instrument rating required

• Ability to complete Controlled Goods Security Assessment
