Airfield Equipment Operator at Airport

Ensure the safe operation of airport facilities as an Airfield Equipment Operator. Operate machinery like snowplows and runway sweepers, adhering strictly to safety protocols.

This critical role involves maintaining airport surfaces and equipment preparation. You will perform labor-intensive tasks, including pavement patching and assisting with signage repairs. Your keen attention to detail will enhance the safety and reliability of airport operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy to light equipment for airport maintenance

• Change broom cores and replace plow blades

• Patch pavement on airfield and ground side surfaces

• Assist in repairing fences, gates, and signage

• Adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents

Requirements:

• 1–3 years of heavy equipment operating experience

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and driver’s abstract

• Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air brake endorsement

• Ability to complete pre-employment drug testing

• Ability to work rotating shifts and on call
