Overview

Air Canada is looking for a full‑time Aircraft Technician at our Calgary Maintenance Centre near Calgary International Airport, Richmond. The role focuses on airframe maintenance and requires a strong technical skill set and teamwork ability.

Responsibilities
  • Perform airframe maintenance using correct tools, methods, techniques and equipment.
  • Read and interpret schematic diagrams for maintenance troubleshooting.
  • Utilize computers and diagnostic tools for maintenance tasks.
  • Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, in a demanding, high‑stress environment.
  • Work independently using resources via phone and computer, staying self‑motivated and confident.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma.
  • Completed a recognized apprenticeship program or at least 2 years of industry‑related experience.
  • Transport Canada AME‑E license (mandatory).
  • Valid driver’s licence (mandatory).
  • Pass pre‑employment qualifying exam, physical and security check.
  • Available to work nights, evenings, days, weekends and holidays.
  • Pass and obtain an airside vehicle operator’s permit (mandatory).
  • Possess restricted radio operator’s permit (aviation).
  • Obtain and maintain applicable transportation security clearances and authorizations.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Meet Air Canada medical standards, including drug and alcohol testing.
  • Eligible to work in Canada and responsible for any required work permits or visas.
