Forklift Operator Job Calgary area,Alberta Canada,Transportation

Pay:

Starting from $19/hr (Depending on experience)

What You’ll Do:

Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and responsible manner.

Relocate items within a warehouse.

Unload incoming shipments to verify quantity and condition of goods.

Unload and properly store received inventory in designated areas.

Pick, pack, and load outbound orders onto delivery trucks.

Create crates for shipment; assist in transfers as needed.

Wrap and prepare products for shipping.

Work in confined space and/or cold environments (travelling in/out of refrigerated (~4°C)).

What You’ll Need In Order To Qualify:

Experience

Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehousing operations.

Experience with RF Scanner.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team or independently.

Proficiency in using order entry systems and inventory management software.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Heavy lifting may be required (max. 55 lbs.).

Produce / fresh food experience preferred for some Clients.

Basic computer and math skills.

Equipment Experience

Minimum 2 years of forklift experience.

Valid Forklift certification.

Experience working within confined areas (coolers) and/or with different racking systems (pushback racking, racks that are 2-3 pallets high, 5 pallets deep, etc.) at some Clients locations.

Special Conditions Of Employment:

Must have CSA-approved safety boots and reflective vest.
Must be Health & Safety conscious.
