Position: WestJet Flight Dispatcher Position
Take on the role of Flight Dispatcher with West Jet, focusing on operations management and in-person teamwork. Ensure operational safety and compliance with both Canadian and international regulations.

As a Flight Dispatcher at West Jet, you will work closely with pilots to manage and control all flight operations. The ideal candidate will hold a Transport Canada Dispatch Certificate, possess a proactive attitude, and excel in fast-paced environments. You’ll analyze flight parameters and maintain effective communication with flight crews and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute operational control alongside the Pilot in Command

• Interpret and analyze weather and flight data

• Prepare and amend operational flight plans accurately

• Oversee all flights within your operational sector

• Liaise with airport authorities for curfew approvals

Requirements:

• Successful completion of Transport Canada examinations required

• Radio Telephone Restricted Operator Certificate mandatory

• Minimum age of 21 as mandated by Transport Canada

• One year of direct flight dispatch experience preferred

• Clear communication and exceptional organizational skills
