Heavy equipment operator

Job Summary

Permanent position. Requires proficiency in English.

Hours:

35-50 per week.

• Operate heavy equipment.
• Use ISO-pattern joystick controls.
• Understand and apply information from material safety data sheets (MSDS).
• Complete onboard logs and other required logs.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
• Prepare accident reports.
• Secure special attachments to equipment.
• Perform minor repairs to equipment.
• Operate hydraulic pumping systems.

• Outdoors.
• Hot, cold/refrigerated, dusty conditions.
• Various locations.

• Secondary (high school) graduation certificate.
• 1 year to < 2 years of experience in industrial/commercial/institutional construction.
• Type of heavy equipment operated:
  Concrete pumping equipment.
• Own transportation, own vehicle, valid driver''s licence.

• Driver''s License (Class 3 or
  
  D) with Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
• WHMIS Certificate.
• CSTS Certificate.
• Drug test.
• Security and safety driving record check (abstract).
