Heavy Equipment Water Truck Operator

Become a Water Truck Operator in heavy civil construction, focusing on safe operations and moisture management for optimal road conditions. This role involves loading, transporting, and efficiently distributing water at various sites.

Reporting to the Foreman, your primary responsibility is to safely operate a water truck while maintaining site productivity through effective water application. Regular maintenance checks will be crucial to ensure the performance of the equipment. You will also be responsible for training new operators and may operate additional heavy machinery as required for project tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure optimal moisture levels on gravel and clay surfaces

• Distribute water to support dust control and site operations

• Conduct daily checks and maintenance of the water truck

• Spray water for soil compaction in back filling

• Provide training for new team members

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of truck operation experience

• Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with no serious infractions

• Physically capable of extended periods of work

• Compliance with drug and alcohol testing

• Strong mechanical skills and vehicle performance awareness
