Join SAIT as an Educational Laboratory Technologist III and contribute to aviation training activities. Manage tools, support lab maintenance, and oversee aircraft operations effectively.
Your role as an Ed‑Lab Tech III at the SAIT Art Smith Aero Centre includes supervising inventory management of tools and parts. You will also collaborate with instructors to maintain training aids and handle the shipping of dangerous goods. Proficiency in aircraft maintenance is essential as you maintain various aircraft and operate ground support equipment. Leverage your skills in communication and teamwork to support SAIT's aviation programs.
Key Responsibilities- Distribute tools and equipment to support students and instructors
- Process shipments, following safety guidelines for dangerous goods
- Maintain and manage training aids along with hangar operations
- Conduct routine maintenance on fixed and rotary‑wing aircraft
- Organize and set up labs, shops, and hangar areas
- Experience in aviation maintenance, AME license preferred
- Familiarity with specific aircraft types mentioned
- Willingness to acquire an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
