Be a Truck Driver for the National Diabetes Trust, collecting donations part-time with up to 29 hours weekly.
Your role will directly support diabetes-related initiatives by gathering gently used goods.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll drive established routes in a 3-ton truck, ensuring timely collection of clothing and household items from various donors. Key skills include organizational ability and excellent driving history, essential for maintaining our mission of service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect donated items from designated locations
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips
• Maintain accurate Hours-of-Service Logs
• Ensure customer satisfaction with effective service
• Check in with dispatch throughout the route
Requirements:
• Full Class 5 or G license with five years of experience
• Clean driving record without recent violations
• Ability to handle lifting and physical demands
• Map-reading skills for efficient navigation
• Effective communication skills in English
