Experienced Shunt Truck Driver

Join Canada Cartage as an Experienced Class 1 Shunt Truck Driver based in Calgary. This full-time position offers a 4 on - 4 off schedule, highlighting a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Your main responsibility will involve moving shunt trailers and ensuring the yard is organized for efficient operation. You will also play a crucial role in preparing trailers for local deliveries while providing assistance in the warehouse. A focus on professionalism and safety is paramount in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Move 15-25 shunt trailers with precision

• Organize and maintain the yard for optimal traffic flow

• Follow safety regulations and service hour specifications

• Keep trailers in excellent condition for loading

• Assist offloading in the warehouse as needed

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 driver’s license is essential

• Clean 5-year commercial driving record required

• Minimum of 1 year Class 1 driving experience

• Shunting and forklift operation experience preferred

• Excellent understanding of safety regulations
