School Bus Driver Equipment Operator II

Become a vital part of student transportation as a School Bus Driver Equipment Operator II. Ensure the safety of students on pre-planned routes while supervising and maintaining the bus's cleanliness and functionality.

This role is essential at NLSchools for the safe transport of students to and from school and events. Equipment Operator II candidates will carry out daily inspections, report any incidents, and perform minor vehicle repairs. Responsibilities also include snow clearing and ice control, with a focus on maintaining a safe environment for students and other road users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport students according to established routes

• Supervise students while operating the bus

• Conduct daily and post-trip inspections of the vehicle

• Report incidents to School Administrators or Management

• Perform snow clearing and ice control as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid Driver's Abstract and Certificate of Conduct

• Class 2 beginners with a Class 9 air brake endorsement

• First aid certified with level C CPR

• Experience with children is an asset
