As the Transportation Clerk, you will turn requests into reality, in an environment where you’ll feel and create a culture of safety and family. You will support the transportation team in improving production processes and maintaining daily business. This includes performing administrative tasks such as; maintaining documents, directing incoming calls, providing reports, and supporting a variety of other functions to ensure that the transportation team is providing Core-Mark customers with exceptional service and quality.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Process and validate driver payroll on a daily basis to ensure accuracy and compliance with bi-weekly payroll deadlines.Support effective communication between drivers, dispatch, transportation management, and other operational departments to facilitate smooth day-to-day operations.Proactively communicate route changes, delivery delays, and service updates to customers, ensuring timely and professional resolution of inquiries.Enter, maintain, and audit transportation-related data within company systems to ensure data integrity and operational accuracy.Generate, distribute, and analyze transportation payroll, delivery performance, and compliance reports as required by management.Monitor and maintain JJ Keller driver qualification files, including licenses, medical certifications, training records, and other regulatory documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.Maintain transportation records, route documentation, trip reports, and supporting administrative files in accordance with company retention requirements.Support transportation leadership with scheduling, administrative projects, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.Assist with onboarding activities for new drivers, including training compliance tracking.Ensure confidentiality and accuracy when handling employee, customer, and company information.Promote a safe work environment by supporting transportation safety programs and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned.
