What you'll do
  • Conduct thorough cleaning of the interior and exterior of aircraft, ensuring all surfaces are spotless and well-maintained.
  • Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections to identify any cleaning needs or maintenance issues that may require attention.
  • Use specialized cleaning equipment and products to effectively remove dirt, grime, and other contaminants from various aircraft surfaces.
  • Ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed in accordance with safety and regulatory standards set forth by aviation authorities.
  • Collaborate with flight crews and other team members to coordinate cleaning schedules and ensure timely turnaround of aircraft.
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and report any discrepancies or issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Adhere to Apcawl's policies and procedures regarding cleanliness, safety, and customer service.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay updated on best practices in aircraft grooming and cleaning techniques.
  • Assist in inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary materials are available for daily operations.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication among staff members.
  • Respond to any urgent cleaning requests or special assignments as directed by supervisors.
  • Uphold Apcawl's commitment to sustainability by using eco-friendly cleaning products and practices whenever possible.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in aircraft cleaning or a similar role within the aviation industry is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and flight crews.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and perform manual labor as needed.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures related to aircraft cleaning and maintenance.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • A valid driver's license is preferred for transportation of cleaning equipment and supplies.
Nice to have
  • Certification in aircraft cleaning or related fields is a plus.
  • Experience with eco-friendly cleaning practices and products.
  • Knowledge of basic aircraft systems and components is advantageous.
  • Previous customer service experience can be beneficial for interacting with passengers and crew.
  • Bilingual abilities may enhance communication with diverse team members and passengers.
