As a Seasonal
Picker Truck Operator/Crane Truck
Driver
, you will work with our Dispatch team to deliver tanks safely to our residential and commercial customers. Your goal will be to provide a meaningful and essential service to our Avenir Energy customers in a safety-focused environment.
This is a fixed contract/Seasonal role with an expected end date in the Spring of 2027. The position includes full benefits and is eligible for over-time.
Responsibilities:- Load and unload tanks, adhering to all Company and Governmental regulations.
- Work with our dispatch teams to develop routes using your knowledge of geography, and the needs of our customers.
- Deliver, pick-up and swap tanks for both our residential and commercial customers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure Electronic and Daily Trips Log are up-to-date and submitted daily
- Report any potential hazards to dispatch.
- Ensure compliance with all company and government policies and regulations.
- Maintain Up-to-date understanding of TDG, WHIMIS and required trainings
- Actively participate in team meetings and discussions
- Work schedule will vary - need willingness to occasionally work evenings and/or weekends
- Other duties as required by supervisor.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s license with airbrake endorsement/Class 3 License DZ
- Crane Safe Certificate Level A is an asset
- Oilfield and/or Propane experience is an asset
- Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience
- Clean CVOR / personal driving record within Company standards.
- Able to perform the physical demands of loading and unloading propane.
Skills:
- Knowledge of propane considered an asset.
- Ability to work various shifts.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
