Role Description

This full-time, on-site Class 1 Truck Driver role is based in Elk Point, AB. The driver will safely operate Class 1 trucks and trailers for various hauling services, including bulk materials, equipment, and other loads as assigned. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, loading and unloading materials, securing loads, and following designated routes and schedules. The driver will maintain accurate logs and documentation in accordance with company policies and DOT regulations, and communicate clearly with dispatch, site personnel, and supervisors.

The role also involves adhering to all safety procedures, reporting maintenance needs, and representing the company professionally on customer sites and public roads.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess a valid CDL Class A (Class
    1) license and be qualified to operate commercial trucks and trailers.
  • Candidates should possess strong truck driving skills, including safe operation in varied weather, terrain, and worksite conditions.
  • Candidates should possess skills in loading and unloading, including proper load securement and basic material handling.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of DOT regulations and applicable provincial transportation and safety requirements.
  • Candidates should possess experience operating and caring for trucks and related equipment, including performing routine inspections.
  • Clean driving record and acceptable safety history.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safe work practices.
  • Experience in energy, construction, or environmental hauling is an asset.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including climbing in and out of vehicles and handling equipment and materials.
