Operate roll off trucks and pup trailers in Sparwood, BC, providing safe waste removal services with efficient route execution. Transport collected waste to post collection facilities for proper disposal.
GFL is seeking a Driver to collect waste from customer sites throughout the Sparwood region. You will operate roll off and flatbed trucks, use truck mounted forklifts for bin collection, and maintain route quality. The work requires safety compliance, accurate documentation, professional customer interactions, and communication with supervisors and mechanics.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate roll off trucks with pup trailers
- Operate flatbed trucks with truck mounted forklifts
- Collect waste from customer sites and transport it
- Complete inspections, reports, route sheets, and service records
- Report hazards, incidents, and mechanical problems promptly
- Valid Class 1 Driver's License
- Fairly clean Commercial Driver's Abstract for five years
- Preferred roll off truck operating experience
- Heavy equipment experience in a mine site environment
- Ability to perform physical and labour intensive tasks
