Warehouse Associate – TC Transcontinental
TC Transcontinental, a leading North American provider of flexible packaging, retail marketing services, printing, and French‑language educational publishing, seeks a dedicated Warehouse Associate to manage the coordination of incoming and outgoing shipments. Responsibilities- Pulls and packs products based on daily orders.
- Ensures order picking accuracy and meets customer order specifications in a timely manner.
- Packs goods professionally to guarantee safe arrival.
- Inspects and verifies incoming goods against invoices, records shortages, and rejects damaged items.
- Establishes strong relationships with internal/external customers and suppliers.
- Routes received goods to their final destination.
- Oversees secure and accurate loading/unloading of deliveries.
- Follows safe storage and handling procedures for materials.
- Provides exceptional service to vendors and all customers.
- Performs quality audits of incoming items before sign‑off.
- Reports discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Problem solves missing documents or delivery issues.
- Maintains an organized work area in compliance with policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Complies with all applicable legislation, including safe operation and carriage of goods.
- Provides training to new/junior employees on safe, efficient, quality‑oriented work.
- Assists in developing work instructions and practices.
- Ensures a safe work environment free from hazards, dirt, and debris.
- Available for overtime to meet customer needs when required.
- Supports a healthy and safe workplace by following all regulations, policies, and initiatives; reports all first‑aid injuries, accidents, and hazards.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a warehousing environment.
- Forklift certification and experience (asset).
- Computer literacy, including proficiency with Word, Excel, E‑mail, and Internet applications.
- Dynamic team player who also works well independently.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong command of the English language (reading, writing, speaking).
- Organizational skills with a commitment to quality and safety.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
