Description
We are currently seeking for an Inventory Control Coordinator to join our team of skilled professionals at our Calgary, AB location.
The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring optimal stock levels, and supporting efficient warehouse and supply chain operations. This role monitors inventory movement, conducts audits, investigates discrepancies, and collaborates with purchasing, maintenance and operations teams to prevent shortages, overstock, and inventory loss.

Physically receive and sort parts;Stock items in an orderly manner both in the Parts Room and in satellite locations throughout the plant;Process incoming requisitions and issue or distribute parts and supplies;Prepare parts for work orders to be completed on the next Preventative Maintenance DayMaintain records of orders placed, number, type of parts and supplies available and where they are stored location and with a computerized system;Prepare orders to replenish parts and supplies;Provide advice for clients, or users of the facility, on the parts, supplies and materials required;Maintain Min/Max, adequate quantities of each stock item;Maintain unique identification of spare parts, materials, supplies and tools;Apply inventory control in relation to item value;Assign new parts number and location for the storage;Re-positioning and/or kitting of Parts /Spares to improve picking and stock efficiencies;Investigation of problem orders and receiving discrepancies;Accountable for Parts/Spares physical Inventory. Review periodic Inventory adjustments, Cycle counts;Advise Planner, production personnel or internal user on appropriateness of parts, supplies or materials requested;Pack or ship inventory or maintenance repair spares for destination;Assisting with inbound receiving as required;Maintain cleanliness standards of warehouse and own work area;Maintain security of all warehouse locationsWork with Maintenance Manager to ensure the best parts organization.Other duties as assignedQualifications
Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) considered an asset.Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a similar fieldAbility to operate a forklift mandatoryInventory-related certification (such as CPIM, CSCP, or similar) is strongly preferred.Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilitiesExperience with cycle counting and inventory auditsKnowledge of inventory control best practices (FIFO, LIFO, ABC analysis)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.Must be able to walk, see, stand, bend, and navigate stairs and ladders as needed, lift up to 50 pounds as needed. Requires sitting at a computer 50% - 70% of shift. Requires walking throughout the plant to deliver parts on a routine basis.Experience with cycle counting and inventory auditsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environmentNote:
