Operations Supervisor (Warehouse)
Job Summary:
Oversees accurate processing of customer orders, coordinates outbound shipments, and ensures seamless communication between warehouse operations, customers, and transportation partners. Key role in maintaining productive shipping workflows, ensuring timely deliveries, and supporting overall warehouse logistics.
Responsibilities Process, validate, and release customer orders in internal systems with a high degree of accuracy.
Coordinate outbound shipments, including scheduling carriers, booking trailers, and managing transportation timelines.
Oversee inventory management activities, monitor stock levels, perform cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain inventory accuracy within the system.
Maintain real‑time visibility of inventory and proactively flag shortages, overstock, or inconsistencies.
Review and reconcile shipping documentation (packing slips, Bills of Lading) to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer requirements.
Prepare, organize, and maintain shipping, inventory, and logistics records in accordance with company standards.
Serve as the central point of communication between warehouse teams, customers, and third‑party logistics providers.
Provide timely updates on order status, shipment tracking, and inventory availability, including escalation of any issues or delays.
Monitor shipment schedules and inventory flow, proactively resolving delays, damages, or discrepancies.
Support daily warehouse operations by coordinating workflow priorities and optimizing processes.
Essential Skills Experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, shipping, or logistics coordination.
Strong understanding of inventory control processes, including cycle counting, stock reconciliation, and inventory accuracy best practices.
Solid understanding of shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading and packing slips.
Effective written and verbal communication skills with a professional approach.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
Strong organizational and coordination skills with keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and warehouse or ERP systems.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications Logistics experience.
Proficiency in Truck Mate and Excaliber.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Motivating and engaging personality.
Good analytical and mathematical skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent problem‑solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
Work Environment Monday through Friday, from 8AM to 4:30PM.
Job Type & Location Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.
Workplace Type Fully onsite in Calgary, AB.
Pay $25.00 – $27.00 per hour.
