Reach, Dock Stocker, and Power Pallet Operator – Afternoon Shift
This role involves operating reach trucks, dock stocker forklifts, and center rider power pallet jacks in a high-volume inbound department that focuses on receiving, shipping, and order picking. You will handle material throughout a large warehouse, use an RF scanner to process orders, and regularly lift items up to 50 pounds, with assistance provided for heavier or awkward loads. You must be open to using a clamp attachment and comfortable working on your feet for the full shift in a busy distribution setting.
Responsibilities- Operate reach trucks, dock stocker forklifts, and center rider power pallet equipment safely and efficiently in the inbound department.
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading trailers and trucks.
- Carry out order picking using RF scanners to accurately scan, locate, and process products.
- Handle materials throughout the warehouse, including lifting items up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, with assistance for heavy or awkward items when needed.
- Support put‑away activities by moving received products to designated storage locations.
- Use clamp attachments as required to handle specific types of loads.
- Maintain accuracy and productivity while performing general labor tasks in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines while operating forklifts and material‑handling equipment.
- Work collaboratively with other team members across shifts to ensure timely shipping and receiving of products.
- Remain on your feet for the duration of the shift, walking and standing as needed to complete tasks across the warehouse.
- At least 1 year of recent experience operating reach trucks and power pallet equipment (candidates with a minimum of 6 months of recent experience may be considered).
- Proven shipping experience, including loading trailers and trucks.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to walk and stand for an 8‑hour shift in a warehouse environment.
- Hands‑on experience using RF scanners for order picking, shipping, and receiving.
- Experience as a warehouse worker or forklift operator in a distribution or logistics setting.
- Capability to safely operate dock stocker forklifts and power pallet jacks.
- Comfort working in a high‑volume, fast‑paced warehouse environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience using clamp attachments on forklifts.
- Familiarity with center rider power pallet equipment (experience with end‑rider equipment and willingness to learn center rider is acceptable).
- Previous clamp forklift experience.
- Order picking experience in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Put‑away experience, including moving and storing inbound products.
- Motivated and self‑driven approach to work.
- Positive attitude and strong team orientation.
- Forward‑thinking mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.
You will work in a modern, large facility located in the Rocky View area. The role is on the 2nd (afternoon) shift, running from Sunday to Thursday, 3:45PM to 12:15AM. The environment is fast‑paced and distribution‑focused, with extensive use of forklifts, dock stockers, center rider power pallets, clamp attachments, and RF scanners to move and track product throughout the facility. You will spend most of your shift walking, standing, lifting, and operating equipment in a warehouse setting, following safety procedures and standard warehouse attire suitable for material handling work.
JobType & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calgary, AB. It is a fully onsite role. The pay range for this position is $22.00–$22.00 per hour.
