Interim Warehouse Technician, NGL SCM

Description

Located out of our Cochrane Extraction Plant and reporting into the Supervisor, Facilities Infrastructure SCM, the interim Warehouse Tecnician will support support day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, issuing, material handling, and inventory control activities. This role blends analytical and hands-on warehouse responsibilities and the successful candidate will be highly proficient in Excel and data management.

The Cochrane Extraction Plant (CEP), is a key part of Canada’s NGL infrastructure. The plant is conveniently located just north of the town of Cochrane and within a short drive of both Calgary and the Rocky Mountains.

This is an interim position for a 12 month term.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Unloading trucks using forklift or mobile equipment

• Movement and storage of materials

• Shipping, picking, and staging of materials

Inventory & Systems Support

• Support Inventory Controller, including:

o Material master data creation and maintenance
o Purchase requisition (PR) creation
o MRP monitoring and management
o Coordination of cycle counts and physical inventory (PI) programs

Transactional & Administrative

• Assist with resolving invoice discrepancies

• Receive goods and services in SAP

• Provide customer service, including issuing and locating parts

• Manage material reservations:

o Coordinate with Inventory Controller on required date changes or cancellations
o Review staged materials for ongoing need

Continuous Improvement & Support

• Maintain 5S standards with focus on storage optimization

• Support turnaround/outage events (extended hours or weekends as required)

• Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by the Supervisor and Inventory Controller

Education, Skills and Experience

• Strong proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)

• Experience with SAP considered an asset

• Experience with master data preferred

• Willingness to operate mobile equipment (training provided)

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with reliable transportation

• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset

• Ability to balance desk-based and physical work

Hours

Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day

This is an interim position for a 12 month term.

Combination of office and warehouse environments.

Requires lifting, moving materials, and operating equipment

As this position is identified as safety and security sensitive, employment of a final candidate will be conditional upon completion of pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol, education, drivers abstract, criminal background check assessments with satisfactory results.
