What are your responsibilities as a Warehouse Team Member?- Load & unload shuttle trucks or transport trucks with a forklift
- Sort, label, pick, put away, consolidate, stack and stage aftermarket parts
- Salvage parts and paint products using a forklift, pallet jack, or other power equipment
- Use an RF scanner to scan parts in and out to their respective locations or next destinations
- Follow specific work instructions and best practices to safely and accurately complete daily work assignments
- Record receipts to appropriate forms and/or logbooks, verifying that proper documentation is attached
- Support all operational procedures to ensure value to the customer and compliance with all LKQ policies, customer requirements and provincial legislation
- Assists with inventories & cycle counts, ensuring proper stock rotation
- Inspect each pallet and or case for proper quantities, items brands, and lot codes (as applicable) damages and follow any special instructions on Work Assignment Form and /or additional documentation
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
- Assist in various warehouse tasks & perform other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience
- Knowledge of and ability to operate a forklift and meet medium level physical exertion requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds frequently
- Proficiency and experience using a computer and various computer programs,
- and Adhere to a work safe environment, and display a positive and helpful demeanor, and a commitment to providing the best in customer service.
- General knowledge and ability to perform relatively simple work using basic arithmetic.
- Must be able to recognize bin number locations.
- Must be familiar with the company’s products and warehouse methods.
- Must be able to work with others.
- This position requires individuals to constantly be on their feet expect when operating machinery.
- Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours.
- Is subject to frequent interruptions.
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and withstand heights of 15-35 feet.
- Must be able to lift at least 50-75 lbs.
