Advance Pallet and Lumber Ltd., based in Rocky View, AB T4A 3L3, is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Material Handler who are self-motivated and have good interpersonal skills. The candidate who gets selected will be required to start work as soon as possible. The open positions pertain to Permanent employment or full-time jobs. The shift timings include Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night and Weekend.

• The candidate must be capable of loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.
• The candidate must ship orders.
• The candidate will be responsible for picking orders and stock.
• The candidate must weigh materials and goods.
• The candidate must pack and unpack goods.
• The candidate must sort, crate, and stack goods.
• The candidate must install, lash, and secure goods.
• The candidate will be responsible for storing cargo and materials.
• The candidate must transport and distribute materials and goods.
• The candidate must organize and keep inventory.
• The candidate must organize inventories using computerized inventory control systems.

• The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to handle weights of up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).

• The candidate should work in a warehouse, which can be a noisy and busy environment with hundreds of warehouse operatives, pickers, and packers, as well as many forklift truck drivers moving pallets between shelves.
• The candidate must work in the lumber/forestry industry.

• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
