• Coordinate all activities related to procurement of a commodity from intent to purchase through delivery.
• Analyze the requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date commodity as needed.
• Solicit and evaluate proposals; investigate or interview potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirements.
• Advise team members or management on the appropriate supplier to be used.
• Negotiate the lowest possible cost for the commodity balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs.
• Implement purchase contracts that comply with company and government regulations.
• Ensure commodity delivery on schedule, at the negotiated price, and at the required quality, maintaining timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents.
• Coordinate appropriate methods for cost‑effective distribution of commodity.
• Maintain contact with internal partners to determine short‑ and long‑term demand.
• Perform other duties as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.

• Strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles, industry practices, and standards.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• High level of integrity and discretion handling sensitive and confidential data.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products.
