The Seasonal Beauty Advisor (BA) provides an exceptional experience for all Ulta Beauty guests by engaging each guest to determine their individual needs, conducting cashier tasks, keeping fixtures stocked with merchandise, maintaining store cleanliness, and completing assigned tasks. The BA supports leadership through a focus on performance (service/retail sales and in‑store events), people (guest service), and process (operating procedures and compliance standards).

A passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and the aptitude to learn and communicate product knowledge are essential.

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty (including credit), omni‑channel sales, and retail shrink.
• Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by greeting, engaging, personalizing, answering questions, informing about promotions and sales, and recommending complementary products and/or services.
• Courteously handle customer service, sales, refunds, exchanges, and assist with online orders.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and guest experience.
• Book appointments and support execution of services and in‑store events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience while meeting sales goals.
• Stay informed about new and existing products, services, ingredients, and benefits to better serve guests.
• Maintain prompt and regular attendance.

• Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates, peers, and internal and external guests served.
• Share benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
• Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.
• Regularly participate in ongoing training, including brand and category education.

• Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards.
• Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s dress code.
• Drive sales by keeping the assigned work area replenished, signed, and faced, and ensuring testers are available.
• Maintain outstanding store standards and overall cleanliness including sales floor, restrooms, cash wrap, back room, and break area.
• Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing and advertising displays, physical inventory procedures, and processing/unloading shipments using Ulta Beauty technology.
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.

• High school diploma preferred.

• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.

• Demonstrates a passion for guest service and competency for selling.
• Proficient with basic technology (e.g., point of sale system and Apple devices).
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Ability to troubleshoot.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Continuous mobility throughout the store during shift.
• Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting during shift.
• Continuous and/or frequent lifting, carrying, and/or moving up to 25 lbs during shift.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during shift.
