As a Class A Local Driver
, you will be responsible for the safe, timely, and professional transportation of goods between designated customer and company locations. This role requires strong communication skills, strict attention to safety, and adaptability to changing schedules. You ll be home daily and be part of a supportive, team-oriented environment. Success requires reliability, professional conduct, and maintaining a drug-free work environment. Adherence to BWT’s policies—including attendance and our Drug-Free Workplace Policy—is essential.

$22.00/hr - $22.00/hr

• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle in accordance with DOT and BWT regulations.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete all required inspection reports.
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with dispatchers regarding routes, schedules, and updates.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules while complying with all traffic laws, FMCSA regulations, and company safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records of driving and working hours, compliant with FMCSA Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
• Secure cargo and ensure loads are properly balanced and arranged for safe transit.
• Verify load accuracy, record deliveries, and submit all required trip paperwork, including bills of lading.
• Promptly identify and report mechanical issues, vehicle defects, accidents, or violations; ensure any needed repairs are addressed before operating the vehicle.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as refueling and basic cleaning.
• Interact with customers and site personnel in a professional and respectful manner.
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance in accordance with BWT’s policy.
• Uphold professional conduct at all times and comply with BWT’s behavioral and Drug-Free Workplace policies.
• Actively participate in required safety meetings, compliance training, and company updates.

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• No manual transmission restriction on CDL.
• Minimum 3 years of Class A driving experience.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and ability to pass a background check.
• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• Active FMCSA Clearinghouse registration.
• Proficiency with Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).
• Basic mechanical knowledge relevant to commercial vehicles.
• Strong commitment to safety and DOT compliance.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.

• HAZMAT Certification.

• Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

• Steel-toe or composite-toe boots required.
• Safety vest and other necessary PPE will be provided.

• Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour.
