Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Adult Psychiatrist to fill an opening in the KernBHRS department that provides specialty behavioral health services to Medi-Cal recipients and uninsured, located in Kern County, CA.
Requirements- Board Certification/Eligibility in General Psychiatry
- American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) certified
- California Medical License:
Active status with no disciplinary actions - DEA Certification:
Required for antipsychotics and long-acting injectables (e.g., clozapine)
- Full-Time (FTE):
Shift: 8-hour day. - Part-Time (PTE):
Shift: 6 hours (e.g., 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., excluding breaks).

Adult Psychiatrists manage treatment-resistant schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and severe depression in outpatient and acute care settings. This role includes forensic responsibilities such as LPSAct evaluations and testimony in conservatorship hearings.
Responsibilities- Prescribe and monitor clozapine therapy for treatment-resistant schizophrenia, including ANC monitoring and titration protocols.
- Lead biweekly multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care for high utilizers of crisis stabilization services.
- Complete capacity assessments for gravely disabled patients under Welfare & Institutions Code 5150/5250.
- Utilize long-acting injectables (LAIs) for medication non-adherence, including aripiprazole once-monthly and paliperidone palmitate.
