You will work toward advancing that mission by providing expert guidance, tax preparation, and clear explanations of tax and technical terms to our customers, while shaping one of our newest product offerings, Turbo Tax Live Business.
What You Will Do- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential, and proprietary business information responsibly.
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to provide accurate answers to customers in everyday language.
- Interact with customers via Intuit’s video communications software (Smartlook) in a virtual, customer‑facing capacity.
- Help Turbo Tax Business customers with tax advice, full-service return preparation, signatures, product/software inquiries, tax calculations, and filing tax extensions.
- Create high‑quality customer interactions that inspire confidence using deep empathy and extensive business‑tax expertise.
- Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and return preparation issues.
- Document customer interactions and continuously work toward meeting company key performance metrics and Big Bet Goals.
- Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed.
- Strong business tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws (3+ years of recent experience with 1065 and/or 1120‑S returns for at least 20 clients per season).
- Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns per year.
- Minimum availability of 20 hours per week across three or more days.
- Bookkeeping experience with books‑to‑tax preparation strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service‑industry customers preferred.
- Must possess or be able to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
- Must possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
- Working knowledge of Circular 230.
- Proficient with technology; solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
- Strong customer service skills—interact professionally, friendly, and confidently via video and audio tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking, problem‑solving, research skills, and determination.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Must have (or be willing to obtain) an internet connection meeting Intuit Security criteria.
- Must reside in the United States.
Competitive compensation with a strong pay‑for‑performance rewards approach. Expected base pay ranges by location are listed below. Eligibility for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits is included per Intuit plans. Pay is based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Intuit also conducts regular pay equity comparisons.
