Location: Westlake Village
Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking an Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $65,000 to $70,000 per year.
Overview of Responsibilities
- Pay vendors, verify federal , schedule and prepare checks, and resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation
- Review submitted employee expense reports and validate all expenses against supplied receipts and company's internal expense guidelines
- Initiate payments to employees weekly for expense reports
- Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
- Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Sort and distribute incoming mail
- Minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent
- 2+ years prior experience with accounts payable preferred
- Detail oriented, with strong organization and time management skills
- Computer literacy with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Microsoft Excel
- Ability to communicate effectively and interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
