We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a team on a contract basis. This position focuses on supporting daily accounts payable operations in a fast-paced setting, with an emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and strong coordination across vendors and internal partners. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with invoice processing, purchase order matching, and payment support while maintaining organized records and dependable follow-through.

Responsibilities:

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices with close attention to accuracy, coding, and deadlines.
• Review purchase-order-backed invoices in Coupa and confirm alignment with receipts and supporting documentation.
• Complete three-way matching to verify invoice details against purchase orders and receiving records before payment.
• Investigate billing discrepancies, pricing differences, and approval gaps, then work with appropriate stakeholders to resolve them.
• Route invoices through the approval workflow and follow up to keep pending items moving toward completion.
• Respond to vendor questions related to payment timing, account activity, and reconciliation matters in a detail-oriented manner.
• Support weekly payment activity, including check runs and other disbursement methods such as electronic or wire payments when needed.
• Reconcile vendor statements, clear outstanding balances, and assist with month-end accounts payable close activities.
• Maintain compliance with internal accounting controls, company procedures, and audit documentation requirements.
• Partner with purchasing teams and department leaders to improve purchase order accuracy and ensure invoice compliance.
