Our client, a leading organization in the public health sector, is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join their team. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be part of the Office of Technology and Solutions Integration supporting critical statewide projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title:Senior Business Analyst
Location:Remote in Sacramento, CA area.
Pay Range:up to $65
What's the Job?- Support high-impact public sector IT projects during critical stages of the Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) process.
- Facilitate data collection activities, work sessions, and document reviews to gather and refine business requirements.
- Contribute to the development of PAL-related deliverables, including Financial Analysis Worksheets (FAW).
- Assist in solution procurement activities, including development of solicitations and evaluation coordination.
- Participate in test planning, execution, and reporting activities to ensure solution quality and alignment with requirements.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a business analyst working on large-scale public sector projects within California state agencies or departments.
- Proven experience facilitating end-to-end business and solution requirements processes, including stakeholder engagement and design workshops.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the California Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) stages 1-4 and familiarity with the CA SIMM 19 structure.
- Experience with waterfall, agile, and hybrid project delivery frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences.
