About UsHundred Hills School is a developing Waldorf initiative nestled in the heart of California’s Santa Ynez Valley. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Kindergarten Teacher to join our growing faculty. Someone inspired to help shape the foundational years of a new and thriving school community with warmth, presence, and reverence.
At Hundred Hills, we are guided by the principles of Waldorf education. Our early childhood programs honor the sacredness of play, the healing rhythm of the seasons, and the importance of the relationship between teacher and child, school and home.
Our kindergarten program offers a rhythmically structured day of meaningful work, imaginative play, artistic activities, storytelling, nature walks, and shared meals. We believe in cultivating not only the child’s sense of wonder, but the teacher’s inner life as well.
What We re Looking For- Is a certified Waldorf early childhood teacher
- Has experience leading a Waldorf early childhood classroom
- Brings a deep love for young children and a strong understanding of their developmental needs
- Demonstrates inner strength, warmth, and presence in holding the class rhythm and space
- Possesses excellent communication, written, and organizational skills
- Works collaboratively with colleagues and parents to build a healthy school community
- Be part of an inspired faculty shaping the future of Waldorf education in a stunning natural setting
- Experience the joy of teaching in a close-knit, nature-connected community
- Engage in meaningful collaboration, creativity, and inner development
