Overview
Base pay range: $26.00/hr - $36.00/hr position supports the safe and efficient operation of wind turbine generators to produce renewable energy. The role emphasizes safety, quality, customer service, and participation in planned and unplanned maintenance and system upgrades. Effective communication with Site Leads/Managers is essential for resolving technical or commercial concerns. All work is documented in Movilizer, including hours worked, materials used, and steps taken during WTGs interventions.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Repair and maintain wind turbine generators and related equipment at the wind farm.
- Support 24/7/365 wind farm operations, including rotating shifts, overtime, and on-call duties.
- Conduct, support and review safety analyses of energy sources, electrical and mechanical hazards before and during work on wind farms, turbines, switch rooms, and O&M buildings.
- Assist in root cause analyses to determine equipment failures.
- Complete and maintain accurate documentation for corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Perform preventative maintenance safely and efficiently on wind turbines and associated equipment.
- Use appropriate safety gear and control energy sources to ensure safe work.
- Maintain tools and equipment and ensure training certifications and qualifications are up to date.
- Complete Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), JSEA’s, and job-specific documentation required for safe maintenance and repairs.
- Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Use computer skills, including MS Office.
- Organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines, and prepare plans and reports.
- Represent the company professionally and contribute to Nordex USA, Inc.’s reputation.
- Perform other assigned responsibilities as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Certification or degree in wind, technical, or engineering field preferred.
- 0-1 year of wind experience.
- Ability to be certified to work with medium and high-voltage equipment.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to move and manipulate up to 50 pounds, climb vertical ladders, and work at heights above 300 feet daily.
- Maintain required training certifications; able to travel domestically and internationally for work and training.
- Ability to work in various environments and conditions, including confined spaces and extreme weather.
- Fieldwork in wind farm environments with flexibility for rotating shifts, overtime, and on-call schedules.
- Meet weight requirements for climbing equipment; use safety gear such as eye protection, hearing protection, steel-toe boots, and hard hats; no loose-fitting clothes or jewelry.
- Pass a pre-employment physical; ability to obtain a U.S. Passport; travel approximately 10% for training and site support.
- Driving is an essential function; must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable; periodic driver’s abstract checks may apply.

BenefitsThe pay for this role is non-exempt at $26 - $36 hourly with up to a 5% bonus. Individual compensation packages are based on factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
