Your OpportunityAmentum is seeking a Test & Air Refueling Operator to serve as a RAAF KC-30 Subject Matter Expert for all organizations involved in flight test, training, upgrades and KC-30 operations for the Royal Australian Air Force. The selected candidate will have direct involvement in Air Refueling Boom System (ARBS) ground and flight test operations and subsequent test results analysis. Direct involvement in the development and review of test plans, test cards, test reports and providing recommendations on suitability of ARBS upgrades and receiver aircraft pairings.
Responsibilities- Participate in flight test activities, making assessments and recommendations as the RAAF’s representative and an experienced Flight Test ARO.
- Conducting and supporting simulator sessions to evaluate and assess Boom control law changes and provide training.
- Participating in meetings and or workshops related to ARBS development and configuration changes.
- Reviewing contractor supplied documentation including flight manual changes related to the ARBS.
- Directly supporting KC-30A receiver aircraft clearances.
- The contractor may assist the RAAF to develop an organic and enduring ARBS T&E capability.
- Work with the Aircraft Research and Development Unit (ARDU) to develop and administer suitable training programs for future ARBS operators involved in T&E activities, including AROs, Test Pilots, and Flight Test Engineers (FTE).
- Develop selection criteria for future Test ARO candidates.
- Mentoring, training and sharing of experience with Air Refueling Operators (AROs) and Air Refueling Operator Instructors (AROls) to develop an indigenous and enduring training capability. In this role the Contractor will need to achieve and maintain currency to the required RAAF standards.
- Performs assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed, selects or adapts standard procedures or equipment, receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed, and performs recurring work independently.
- Associate’s degree
- Current and qualified air refueling operator, or previously qualified within 12 months.
- ARO instructor and evaluator experience required
- Formal USAF or equivalent ARO flight test training required
- Formal handling qualities training required
- Prior experience/involvement with KC-30 testing as Flight Test ARO highly desired.
- A minimum of 3000 flying hours in U.S. Air Force or allied nation tanker aircraft.
- Experience testing product improvements, evaluating upgrades regarding air refueling systems, operational techniques, design improvements, ergonomics, and human factors required.
- Current FAA Class III medical certificate, USAF flight physical, or the ability to attain such by date of hire.

Currently possess, or demonstrate the ability to obtain, a SECRET clearance.
Physical RequirementsMedium‑Exerts up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
